So G and I visited Nashville in August, in the height of the summer, and in 38 degree very dry heat! Wow it was hot!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel on Music Row (1407 Division Street) which is situated around a 20 minute walk from downtown Nashville and the bustling Broadway area. Check in is from 3pm and you need to check out by midday on the day you leave.
This was the only hotel (on our big trip across America in 2024) that offered a free breakfast and did not charge a damage deposit or city tax on arrival.
The hotel is around a 30 minute taxi / uber ride from the airport (cost of around $25) and the commentary from our uber drive was worth the fare on its own. He was so delighted to have ‘out of towners’ like us, all the way from London visiting his home town and told us all about his own travelling plans. Yep, I could have listened to that southern drawl all day!
The hotel is situated minutes away from Music Row and the famous recording studios. At a cost of around £180 per night you get a standard room with two large double beds, a large open closet area, a decent bathroom, coffee maker, hairdryer and the usual desk and chair plus a safety deposit box and plenty of plug sockets. Breakfast is included.

We were provided with some free water on arrival and given our breakfast vouchers which we had to show each morning. We were also given an omelette voucher – at the breakfast station in the morning you can hand in your completed omelette voucher stating which fillings you would like, they will then make these to order and call your number when it is ready.
The normal breakfast items included a pancake maker, waffle maker, cereals, fruit, cakes and breads, eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, beans, juice and plentiful coffee (including decaf).
There is a small shop in the reception area should you wish to purchase drinks and snacks, a seating area for while you are perhaps waiting for your uber to arrive, parking out front and a covered area outside (again somewhere perhaps to wait for your uber out of the heat).
The main lobby area also had a water machine, one serving cold drinks and a coffee machine, again all free of charge and available 24/7.
I also took the opportunity of having my picture taken with the mighty (if tiny) Dolly Parton who resides, in cardboard form, in the reception area of the hotel and is accompanied by Taylor Swift!
