Amalfi Restaurant - Fabulous Las Vegas

Updated: Mar 18

G and I travelled to Fabulous Las Vegas in late August / early September 2024, flying into Harry Reid International airport from Chicago, this being our 5th stop on our tour across America.

Before visiting Vegas we did a LOT of research and stumbled across a video by Safiya and Tyler showcasing the Amalfi Restaurant. After picking up a few tips we decided to book! We booked through the Amalfi website after checking out the menu on the Caesars Palace website / Dining section.

Located on the casino floor of Caesars Palace, Amalfi is the brain child of Bobby Flay, a celebrity / TV chef. This is a fine dining experience, however do bear in mind that you are on the casino floor of a huge Vegas hotel and it is a little noisy!

We were shown to our table quite quickly and our drinks order was taken while we looked at the menu. We had seen Safiya and Tyler asking for the focaccia bread, however we were told that this was not on the menu - you had to ask for it. I wasn’t too sure why it didn’t feature on the menu until it came - you would not want everyone to know about this as it was a delicious round puffy ball of garlic bread, dripping in garlic butter! At about $14 it was easily one of the cheapest things on the menu and totally delicious! We ordered a burrata bowl which came surrounded by a delicious tomato sauce ,- great for dipping in that beautiful focaccia bread!

For mains I had Ragu, boring but really tasty. G opted for squid ink pasta which had octopus, calamari and prawns in it. She reported this as being 10/10 - this dish had been on her mind for months so expectations were high!

The price for our meal was around $165 including tax which is at the pricier end, however if you are looking for a fine dining experience in a trendy celebrity chef venue, then Amalfi is definitely for you. Just to note, we stuck to water for the table and a soft drink each; no coffee or dessert either so I would imagine if we had chosen those additional items and perhaps a glass of wine, our bill would have been closer to $250.

There is ample seating including high stools at the bar which did seem to be quite a popular option. The service was attentive and unobtrusive, however our Burratta bowl was removed a little too quickly for my liking and I would have liked to continue dipping that bread into the delicious sauce.

The menu does offer some yummy desserts, however as we were full of delicious buttery garlicky foccacia, we declined on this occasion.

So, would I visit again - hmmmm, it’s a maybe which is unusual for me. The food was nice but I’m not sure it warranted the hefty price tag. I guess it is to be expected as even Starbucks is ridiculously expensive in Vegas compared to what I can get locally. It was a nice experience but I think if we visit Vegas again I will try somewhere else - I hear Gordon Ramsay has a few restaurants in Vegas!!

But wherever you decide to eat in Vegas, enjoy!
